PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Peer Review Process
Ensuring fair, objective, rigorous and professionally managed evaluation of manuscripts submitted to the Nigerian Journal of Technical Education.
The Editorial Board of the Nigerian Journal of Technical Education (NJTE) is committed to ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated fairly, objectively and rigorously.
NJTE publishes scholarly work across all spheres of learning, with particular emphasis on science, technical and vocational education, engineering, applied research and adaptive technology.
Double-Blind Peer Review
NJTE operates a double-blind peer-review system in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another throughout the review process.
This approach is intended to:
- Promote impartial evaluation
- Reduce inappropriate bias
- Protect reviewer independence
- Encourage constructive scholarly assessment
Review Process
The author submits the manuscript through the NJTE Open Journal Systems platform.
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for relevance, scope, presentation and compliance with journal requirements.
The manuscript may undergo plagiarism, similarity, reference and ethical compliance screening.
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area.
Reviewer reports are evaluated and an editorial decision is communicated to the corresponding author.
Authors address reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript accompanied by an appropriate response.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers before the final editorial decision.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, production, proofing and online publication.
